Steps
- Open Set-up → 2 Your rules. Every value is pre-filled from the usual rules for societies in your country.
- Check each value against your bye-laws: Price of one share, Minimum shares to be a member, Entrance fee, Minimum regular saving.
- Decide whether Members can withdraw savings while they remain members.
- Set the Loan multiplier, Approvals needed for a loan, Own savings that can secure a loan and the Statutory reserve.
- Upload your registered bye-laws as a PDF and select Save and continue.
What happens next
Each rule shows a worked example, such as “A member who saves ₦10,000 a month for a year could borrow up to ₦360,000.00”. After activation, rule changes need board approval and an effective date.
Common problems
"The reserve fund must take at least 10% of net surplus; 6.00% was proposed"
Your country sets a minimum statutory reserve. Raise the percentage to at least the minimum shown.
"That file couldn't be uploaded. Use a PDF under 20 MB."
Scan or export the bye-laws as a PDF and compress it below 20 MB.
